Bench-Bar Conference Committee
The purpose of the Bench-Bar Conference Committee is annually to plan, promote, and implement the Bench-Bar Conference of the Allegheny County Bar Association. The ACBA annually sponsors the conference to provide to its members the opportunity to participate in substantive and procedural law presentations and discussions, and to provide the opportunity to meet, on an informal basis, with the judges of the Courts of Common Pleas, appellate courts, and the Western District of Pennsylvania to discuss and explore matters of mutual interest, and the methods of addressing and resolving the concerns of lawyers and judges on the interaction of the Bench and Bar. Additionally, the conference provides a vehicle to explore the functions and image of both the Bench and Bar, and to promote excellence in practice and service to the public and one another.
