More than 90 Allegheny County Bar Association attorney members answered close to 2,000 calls during the 24th Annual KD & You and the Law program on April 10, 2008. The calls dealt with almost all areas of the law, with many resulting from housing and mortgage problems. In addition, the Lawyer Referral Service helped more than 200 callers who had been referred from the volunteers answering the phones at KD & You and the Law.
During the 10-hour event, KDKA-TV consumer reporter Yvonne Zanos did live interviews with Dave Blaner, Jay Blechman, Ken Gormley, and Alka Patel, Chair of the Asian Attorneys Committee.
