Professional Ethics Committee

The Professional Ethics Committee, upon any request of any member of the association, its board of governors, or any committee or section, gives its opinion on the proper interpretation of the Code of Judicial Conduct or Rules of Professional Conduct, and on the applicability to a particular state of facts not involving questions of judicial discretion or decision. Duty officers are only permitted to advise members of the Allegheny County Bar Association about the member's own conduct and will not give opinions about the conduct of other lawyers. To submit a question to the committee, please call an appropriate duty officer.
