This is it! Buy your Pro Bono Rocks tickets now

Please make your plans to join us for Pro Bono Rocks! at the Hard Rock Cafe this Friday, November 6, at 8:00 p.m. Be a part of this fun and worthwhile event by getting your tickets now. CLICK HERE to purchase.

Pro Bono Rocks! will feature "Who's Bad," a nationally-known band that covers Michael Jackson songs from Motown to Thriller. Walk the red carpet past our very own "screaming fans" and join us for complimentary pre-show appetizers, valuable raffle prizes, and the music and moves of Michael Jackson. KDKA television news morning anchor Rick Dayton will be master of ceremonies for the evening.

Proceeds will benefit the free legal services programs of the bar foundation's Pro Bono Center, which recruits and trains volunteer attorneys to help meet the critical legal needs of low-income residents in Allegheny County. The Center works directly with 33 partner organizations and projects to provide quality legal assistance to those who cannot otherwise afford it.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the event for baskets filled with valuable items including restaurant gift certificates, tickets for arts events, an "instant wine cellar," and more. A limited number of raffle tickets will be sold for an aquamarine and diamond pendant necklace on an 18 karat white gold chain valued at $950.

For more information about Pro Bono Rocks! or to purchase tickets, contact Erin Rhodes at 412-402-6641 or erhodes@acba.org. See you there!

Duquesne law students available to assist pro bono attorneys

The Duquesne University School of Law Pro Bono Program coordinates volunteer opportunities for students with non-profit organizations and attorneys in the private sector who provide legal services to clients free of charge or for a substantially reduced fee. Second and third-year law students are available to help with legal research and other project-based assignments. This program may be especially helpful for sole and small-firm practitioners.

If you are a public-interest organization or licensed attorney who is interested in assistance from a law student volunteer for a pro bono matter, please contact duprobono@gmail.com or call the Pro Bono Office at 412-396-1905. The Duquesne Law School Pro Bono Program looks forward to working with you to provide legal services to those whose legal needs would otherwise go unmet.
