Pro Bono Rocks! returns Nov. 5

Pro Bono Rocks! returns with a Battle of the Attorney Bands on Saturday, November 5, 2011, 6:00-11:30 p.m., at The Showroom at Dave & Buster's!

The evening will begin with acoustic performances by:

  • Antonio Lordi (adjunct professor at Duquesne University School of Law who specializes in folk and classical guitar)
  • Carrie Tongarm and Erica Converse (students at University of Pittsburgh School of Law who perform as an acoustic duo).
They will followed by singer/songwriter "Hungry Bill" Pelger, who incorporates his experiences as a criminal defense attorney and his love of pancakes into hilarious songs. Then, the rockin' starts with four bands who will compete to get the most votes--and raise the most funds to support pro bono:
  • Johnny B & the Accelerators (a classic rock and blues band with a distinctive horn flare, with attorneys from Metz Lewis, Matis Baum & O'Conner, and Grossinger Gordon Vatz)
  • The Blues Devils (a blues and rock & roll band with family-law practitioner Bob Sebastian)
  • Grasping at Straws (a guitar-based rock band with attorneys from FedEx Ground, PNC Bank, and Sherrard German & Kelly)
  • Root 19 (a band well known for its fundraising shows, with an attorney from Dickie McCamey & Chilcote)
We need YOU! Here's what you can do to help:
