US Supreme Court

- Dec. 15, 2015 | U.S. Supreme Court rules on binding arbitration provision in service agreement.  Read more here.

- Dec. 21, 2015 | Supreme Court examines ongoing controversy over availability of attorneys’ fee awards against insurance companies that have invoked the peer-review provisions of the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Law. Read more here.

- Dec. 14, 2015 | Pennsylvania Rules of Appellate Procedure 311, 341, and 904 have been amended. New rules become effective 4/1/16. Read more here and here.

- Dec. 14, 2015 | The PA Orphans’ Court Rules have been substantially revised. New rules become effective 9/1/16. Click herehere, and here.

- Dec. 10, 2015 | The Criminal Procedural Rules Comm. is planning to propose the revision of the Comment to Rule 523 (Release Criteria). Comments due 1/29. Click here.

- Dec. 9, 2015 | The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has adopted the amendments to Rules 1120 and 1608. The amendments are effective Jan. 1, 2016. Click herehere and here for more information.

- Dec. 9, 2015 | Rule 230.2 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure has been reinstated and amended. Click herehere, and here for more information.

- Dec. 3, 2015 | The Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee is planning to propose to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania the amendment of Pa.R.C.P. No. 1910.16-4(d) governing calculation of child support in divided or split custody cases. Comment period ends Feb. 25, 2016. Click herehere and here for more information. 

- Dec. 3, 2015 | The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Domestic Relations Procedural Rules Committee is planning to propose to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania amendments to Pa.R.C.P. Nos. 1930.2, 1930.4 and 1930.5 governing domestic relations matters. Comment period ends Dec. 22, 2016. Click herehere and here for more information. 

- Dec. 2, 2015 | PA Supreme Court replaces and amends Orphans’ Court rules. New rules to become effective 9/1/16. This is the first substantial revision of those rules since 1975. Read more herehere, and here.
