Bar Leadership Initiative Class Requirements

In order to graduate from the BLI Class (for which you receive free registration and hotel accommodations at the ACBA Bench-Bar Conference) you must fulfill certain requirements by May 31 of the year in which you are a class member. In order to successfully complete the program, you must attend the meetings and programs described below, unless you are excused from participation by the BLI Chair. The program year runs from July 1 to May 31 of each year.

1. Attend at least 75% of regularly scheduled BLI Class Meetings

2. Attend BLI Class Orientation

3. Attend at least two (2) YLD Council meetings

4. Participate in and attend at least 75% of the meetings of at least one YLD Committee

5. Attend Stepping Out Program Orientation and conduct at least one Stepping Out presentation

6. Participate in YLD Children in Shelter Holiday Party

7. Attend at least one ACBA Board of Governors meeting

8. Attend at least one Proliance Solutions Board of Directors meeting

9. Attend at least one Allegheny County Bar Foundation Board of Trustees meeting

10. Attend YLD Annual Meeting in March

11. Attend Very Important Papers (VIP) Orientation and conduct at least one VIP program presentation

12. Actively attend and participate in YLD events
