No entity is more connected to the Pittsburgh legal community than the ACBA. In other words, we know who’s looking for a job.

Attorneys are busy, and many law firms don’t have the time or human resources personnel to review resumes, pre–screen candidates and conduct multiple job interviews. The ACBA can perform these tasks for you – tapping into the deep pool of candidates who come to the ACBA in search of a legal career – and find you the perfect candidate.

Here’s how it works:

    ♦ ACBA Legal Employment Services is a resource available to any law firm, nonprofit organization, corporation or other business looking to fill a permanent (full-time or part-time) attorney or legal support staff position. (Temporary positions are not included in the program.)

    ♦ We work with organizations of all sizes, from very large firms to smaller boutique practices.

    ♦ ACBA membership is not required for employers or job-seekers, ensuring the pool of candidates is as deep as possible. In addition, we work with only those candidates who proactively reach out to ACBA Legal Employment Services. There will be no “headhunting.”

    ♦ This is a fee-based service for employers, and our rates are very affordable. However, there is a fee only if the position is filled by a candidate referred to you by the ACBA. All placements are guaranteed, so should our candidate not work out for you for any reason within 60 days of employment, we will restart the recruiting and interviewing efforts to replace that candidate at no extra charge. There is nothing to lose by giving ACBA Legal Employment Services an opportunity to help you.

    ♦ Once you have engaged our service, we will meet with your firm or organization to thoroughly understand the specific requirements and salary range for the open position. We will run ads and announcements, review resumes, conduct preliminary interviews, and pre-screen the applicants. We will do as much “legwork” as possible, making the hiring process seamless for you.

    ♦ After we complete the recruitment process, you will then be matched with pre-screened applicants. Only those applicants meeting your specifications will be referred to you.
