LRX was written for functionality and speed from the ground up. It is a Windows
based program written totally using Microsoft Visual Studio. The data structure
and design is the key to the speed that will rival SQL Server. LRX can run stand alone or on virtually any type of network including NT Server or a
simple peer to peer network. Created for their own use, The Allegheny County Bar Association, located in Pittsburgh PA., pulled on their many years of experience managing a successful Lawyer Referral Service, combined with their strength as a leader in the technology arena, to create this simple to use, but powerful application. They left out all of the glitter and fancy graphics, instead focusing on functionality and speed. The Allegheny County Bar Association currently runs LRX on an NT Server. This server is a 150 MHz PC with 150 megs of ram. It serves six PCs each with a 150 MHz processor and 32 megs of ram over a simple 10 baseT network and yet the speed is not compromised. LRX could easily run on a 486 computer with 16 megs of memory and still out perform it's competitors that require high end expensive computers. |
