Minority Summer Law Internship program
The Allegheny County Bar Association Minority Summer Law Internship program runs each year from June to August. Geared toward inner city students from the Pittsburgh Public School District, the program gives the students a chance to work in a professional environment at a local law firm or business.
Participants, who usually have at least a B grade point average, earn a salary for performing a variety of meaningful tasks for their employer. Law firms, corporate law departments, businesses, and government agencies are usually eager to help the ACBA reach its goal of having 30 employers provide an eight-week work experience for students.
