Services: Exists to care for women facing an unexpected pregnancy. Offers a home-like setting for women while they are pregnant and following the birth of their child. An on-site high school provides opportunities for young mothers to study and graduate while offering nursery care for infants and special classes and parenting training for both the mother and father. The center also offers free pregnancy testing, counseling for families, health-related casework services, and employment counseling.

Services: Provides a range of services for those facing an unplanned pregnancy. Genesis house offers a home-like setting for pregnant women in need of shelter. Offers individual and group counseling for residents and non-residents. Offers educational classes in prenatal care, physical fitness, childcare, and parenting. The Genesis community centers serve as a distribution point for maternity and baby clothing, formula, baby food, cribs, and baby equipment. These items are provided free of charge as available.

Services: Mobile Moms provides bus tickets to pregnant women to help them get to their pre-natal appointments. Trips for Tots provides bus tickets for mothers to take their children to their doctor's appointments. In order to get benefits, mothers must have been involved in the Mobile Moms program as well. Eligibility: Must be receiving medical assistance.

Services: These centers are designed to nurture, protect, and strengthen families. These centers are community-based and respond to the needs of the individuals that make up the community. Each center offers a number of different services which may include any of the following: parenting education, child development support, parental support groups, drop-in centers, transportation, goal planning, medical support, prenatal care support, community referrals, and many more. Services: Provides subsidized childcare to parents in need of financial assistance. Participants in the program receive vouchers that they can use at private daycares and preschools. Parents are expected to contribute a portion of the cost.
Eligibility: To qualify for these services, the adult must be working at least 25 hours a week, making at least minimum wage, or attending an educational program.
If you are receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and working or going to school, you may be eligible for child care assistance through the welfare department. If you do not receive TANF, you still may be eligible for a child care subsidy. Call the location listed below that is appropriate to find out if you are eligible.
