LGBTQ+ Families in Focus: Legal Insights and Best Practices in Family Law
This program will offer insights into LGBTQ+ considerations in family law, focusing on legal issues and protections unique to LGBTQ+ individuals and families. It also will cover evolving case law, policy changes and best practices for providing inclusive legal services to LGBTQ+ families.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Adoption and parental rights for LGBTQ+ families
- Custody and visitation rights in LGBTQ+ family law cases
- Navigating family law challenges for transgender clients

Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board
Credit has been approved with the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 1.00 Substantive credit.
West Virginia State Bar MCLE
Credit has been approved with the West Virginia State Bar MCLE for 1.20 General credits.
If cancelling your registration, you must notify the Allegheny County Bar Association by email CLEcancel@acba.org no later than 2 business days prior to the CLE course presentation date in order to receive a 100% refund; 1 business day or less, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 administrative fee.
The Allegheny County Bar Association welcomes the transferring of a CLE registration to a substitute course date and time. If you do not attend the CLE course and did not notify Allegheny County Bar Association in the appropriate advanced notice, you waive eligibility for a refund. Also, cancellation received after the day of the program will not be refunded.
The Allegheny County Bar Association reserves the right to modify or cancel a program if circumstances warrant. If the ACBA cancels a program, the cost of that program will be refunded.
