Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the Bar
Attend a hands-on introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts with Stout Pittsburgh. Participants at the event will train skills primarily from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a grappling-based martial art, and will be introduced to the various striking arts and mixed martial arts (MMA) also offered at Stout Pittsburgh.
The skills taught will be basic and beginner appropriate. Instruction will be based on relevance to unarmed self-defense situations. No abnormal fitness level is required and each participant will be able to go at their own pace. There will be some physical contact but no competitive fighting or sparring. As always, participants should check with their doctor prior to participation at this event to ensure they are healthy enough for exercise.
The program will be taught by Warren Stout joined by instructors from Stout Pittsburgh gyms. A Renzo Gracie black belt, Stout has experience teaching everyone from children to individuals more than-70-years-olds, including professional fighters, law enforcement officers, and security teams.
