Have you ever wanted to have happy hour with adorable furry friends? This event is for you.

Animals make us better humans: more grounded, more joyful, and (occasionally) more likely to talk to a dog like it’s our therapist. This feel-good happy hour – featuring some special service animals (aka “therapets” from Animal Friends) – is the Chair Project of outgoing YLD Chair Rebeca Himena Sekinger.

ACBA members are invited to bring approved pet supply donations (donations will be accepted at ACBA Offices headquartered on the 4th floor of the Koppers Building until June 2 and on site at Southern Tier on the day of the event).

This is a “meet-and-greet” style event, so there will be no on-site adoptions, but Animal Friends will be on site with plenty of info on adoptable pets and how to apply. For event sponsorship information, click here.

Please note that the ACBA cannot accept or process financial donations for Animal Friends or any third-party organization.

Approved Donation Items:

• Unopened bags of dry cat, dog or rabbit food (any size, any brands are accepted)
• Canned pet food
• Unopened treats
• Cat litter
• Opened bags of dry pet food that have been properly closed and are in original packaging
• Unopened prescription pet food
• Topical and oral parasite preventives
• New litterboxes
• Timothy hay
• Guinea pig food
• Small animal bedding
• Pee pads
• Blankets without fringe or ties
• Toys
• Beds
• Collars, harnesses and leashes
• Crates and carriers
• Pet apparel and accessories

*All gently used items must be clean and free of excessive wear and tear.
