In-Person CLE – Learning from Experienced Lawyers

This program is part of the ACBA Legacy Lawyers Committee’s effort to provide opportunities for younger lawyers to engage with and learn from more experienced lawyers. The three panelists are all standouts in their practice areas and have a long history of contributions to the bar and to the legal community. Moderated by Ken Gormley, Chancellor and Professor of Law at Duquesne University, the program will allow the panelists to share relevant experiences with the audience and offer guidance to less experienced lawyers seeking to improve their practices.

Topics covered will likely include:

• Building a practice
• Overcoming adversity
• Pitfalls to avoid in dealing with clients and counsel
• Importance of relationships with other lawyers
• Significant life and practice experiences that affected the panelists’ attitude toward their career and the profession

A networking reception will follow the CLE. All CLE participants are invited to attend.

*This program has been approved for 1 hour of Substantive CLE Credit. This also qualifies for 1.2 hours of credit under the West Virginia Rules for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education.

Seating is limited, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will be accommodated as space permits. To secure your spot, payment must be made in advance due to limited registration capacity. You can do so online via credit card or by mailing in a check. If this ACBA CLE cannot be held in-person, it will be converted into a webinar and held on the same date and time. You will be notified via email if that change is made.
