Presented by the Allegheny County Bar Association
It’s Not What You Say, It’s What You Don’t Say: When Silence Isn’t Golden
This program will identify the Rules of Professional Conduct and other legal standards which require attorneys to communicate with and/or provide specific information to clients, other attorneys, or tribunals.
The program will discuss the nature and range of sanctions which can be imposed for violations of these requirements and what factors have bearing on the degree of sanctions in particular cases.
All discussions concerning sanctions, including impositions of costs and expenses, are based on actual cases presented to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board. Best practices and preventative measures will be suggested.
