Practice Ready: Arbitration and Mediation
This session focuses on arbitration and mediation, providing a concise, practice-oriented overview of compulsory arbitration in civil cases within the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and surrounding jurisdictions, including key rules, procedures, and practitioner expectations. The mediation segment will introduce core strategies and techniques for effective advocacy and resolution in mediation, emphasizing preparation, negotiation tactics, and client management. Designed for attorneys seeking immediately applicable tools, this program offers both foundational guidance and practical insights to strengthen alternative dispute resolution skills.
This session is the first in the WLD’s “Practice Ready” CLE series designed to equip attorneys with practical, skills-based training to enhance everyday lawyering and courtroom effectiveness. All attorneys – WLD or otherwise – are invited to attend any of the CLES; no prerequisites are required to attend any in this series, and you don’t have to register for future installments.
