Live Webinar CLE – Ethical Considerations When Hiring Financial and Other Experts

This program will examine the ethical issues lawyers face when retaining and collaborating with financial experts in litigation. Using real-world examples and professional standards, presenters explore the responsibilities of both attorneys and experts to maintain integrity, objectivity and professional independence throughout the engagement.

Attendees will learn how to identify and avoid ethical pitfalls in expert selection, compensation, and communication. The course also reviews the interplay between the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct and the professional codes governing accountants and fraud examiners. Participants will gain practical guidance on balancing zealous advocacy with ethical obligations and ensuring that expert work product withstands ethical and evidentiary scrutiny.
