SkillTran Vocational Software: Uses and Data Gathering in Social Security Matters and Beyond
This program will provide an overview of SkillTran, a tool used by many administrative law judges, vocational experts and attorneys in the Social Security field. Participants in this training will learn how to use Job Browser Pro Web, which is also the Browse function in OASYS Web, to access key occupational information used in social security and other employment-related cases where important evidence-based work decisions are made.
Data sources, search techniques, reporting options and explanations of the SkillTRAN Industry-context method of employment estimates and transferable skills analysis will be covered. The program will be conducted by John Reeves, the National Training Manager for SkillTRAN, LLC who has worked with related software as a practitioner and trainer since the 1990s.
The presentation will provide insight into the practical applications of this technology, as well as the methods by which the data is gathered, sorted and implemented.
