Summary

When legal remedies are inadequate, and money damages are not enough to right the wrongs of a case, the courts may turn to equitable remedies. This program examines the procedural steps and substantive requirements to obtain an injunction, including a review of the Rules of Civil Procedures and relevant case law. It also discusses civil receiverships, and how control over a property or organization can be shifted in the event of a breach of contract or gross mismanagement. Representatives from the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas offer tips specific to practice in that forum.
