Purpose:
The Environment and Energy Law Section meets monthly, at varying dates and times, generally at the ACBA offices. Check the ACBA Calendar for information on the next meeting.
This Section shall provide a forum for information, education, and the development of professional relationships among members of the Allegheny County Bar Association in the areas of environment and energy law. For purposes of this Section, the fields of environment and energy law include: the areas of air, water, solid waste, toxic substance regulation, hazardous substance regulation and transportation, hazard communication, right-to-know activities, sustainability and alternative energy topics, and natural resources including mining, minerals, oil and gas. The Section will provide educational seminars, forums for speakers in the areas of environment and energy law as well as other opportunities for dialogue such as breakfast, luncheons, receptions, or other similar events for the development and interaction of the members.
