Frustrated by Too Many Passwords? You Don’t Need to Be

Online accounts, mobile devices and other applications, as a matter of security, often mandate the use of complex passwords, which must change over time. While these requirements are well-intended, this often leads to frustration when one has to – but can’t – remember a current password. As a default, then, some have a tendency to pick “easy” passwords. The catch here – those are often easy for bad actors to crack.

A possible solution? A password manager: a software tool that stores all of your passwords in a protected database, or “vault.” Some keys to consider:

• You only need to remember the vault’s password to gain access to the rest.
• Many vaults integrate into your web browser, and will auto-fill the appropriate password.
• Many vaults can synchronize across all of your devices.
• Be sure to store our primary password offline, in a protected location.
