Eight new judges were elected to the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in last month’s election. These newly elected judges will be assigned to the following Divisions, effective Jan. 5:
Civil Division
- The Hon. Matthew V. Rudzki
Criminal Division
- The Hon. Simquita R. Bridges
- The Hon. Anthony R. DeLuca
- The Hon. Jaime Hickton
Family Division
- The Hon. Julie Capone
- The Hon. Amanda Green-Hawkins
- The Hon. Daniel L. Miller
- The Hon. Heather Schmidt Bresnahan
Additionally, the Court also made several Divisional Reassignments among existing judges:
- The Hon. Kelly Eileen Bigley has been reassigned to the Orphans’ Court Division (Jan. 2).
- The Hon. Nicola Henry-Taylor has been reassigned to the Civil Division (Jan. 2)
- The Hon. Lisa G. Middleman has been reassigned to Family Division, Juvenile Section (Feb. 2).
- The Hon. Patrick A. Sweeney has been reassigned to the Criminal Division (Feb. 2).
