The ACBA Young Lawyers Division isn’t so young anymore. All members are invited to join the YLD as it celebrates its 60th anniversary on Wednesday, April 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the historic Koppers Building lobby. The event will feature a reception, recognizing the last 60 years of the YLD. Additionally, the event, sponsored by Title Sponsor Compass Rose Financial, will raise funds for the YLD Scholarship Fund, which helps law students defer the cost of law school. Whether you’re a current or former YLD member, this event is for you.

Thousands of people reach out to the ACBA each year looking for a referral to an attorney, and it’s through the Lawyer Referral Service that the ACBA facilitates these referrals.

Curious about joining the LRS but want to give it a test drive first? The ACBA now offers a six-month trial deal; rather than signing up for a year at the standard $300 rate, attorneys can sign up for six months for $175. After those six months are up, attorneys can join for a year at the regular price or simply walk away.

Panel attorneys agree to give the potential client a free 30-minute consultation. If it’s a fit, the client then hires the attorney at their regular rate, and the attorney agrees to pay the ACBA a 15 percent referral fee. The LRS generates hundreds of lucrative referrals per year back to ACBA members. For more, contact attorney Whitney Hughes, Director of the ACBA Lawyer Referral Service, at the button below.
