The Pittsburgh Legal Journal publishes timely, precedent-setting, full-text opinions from various divisions of the Court of Common Pleas. Opinions that appeared in past editions are available in a searchable database here; members must be logged in to the ACBA website to access this database.

The Allegheny County Music Festival is this Sunday, June 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Hartwood Acres Park.

Established in 2000 by then-Family Court Judge Max Baer and Department of Human Services Director Marc Cherna, the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund (ACMFF) was created to aid children and youth receiving services through DHS and Juvenile Courts by paying for life-enriching opportunities and items that are not otherwise available through traditional government funding. Proceeds from its main fundraiser, the Allegheny County Music Festival, replenish this needed fund to serve young people in the manner first envisioned by Chief Justice Baer.

It’s time to renew your ACBA membership.

All ACBA members should have received an email on Monday containing a link where you can renew your membership for the 2025-26 bar year, which begins July 1. Members also will have the opportunity to make changes to their membership, such as adding committee or section memberships. For a snapshot of the benefits of becoming an ACBA member, click below.
