The Allegheny County Music Festival is this Sunday, June 29, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Hartwood Acres Park.
Established in 2000 by then-Family Court Judge Max Baer and Department of Human Services Director Marc Cherna, the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund (ACMFF) was created to aid children and youth receiving services through DHS and Juvenile Courts by paying for life-enriching opportunities and items that are not otherwise available through traditional government funding. Proceeds from its main fundraiser, the Allegheny County Music Festival, replenish this needed fund to serve young people in the manner first envisioned by Chief Justice Baer.
