Get ready to hit the links (and the bocce court) at Westmoreland Country Club.

The annual ACBA Golf and Bocce Tournament – one of the Pittsburgh Legal Community’s biggest events of the summer –  will be held on Monday, July 28 and feature an 18-hole championship golf tournament, as well as a bocce competition suitable for players at all skill levels. Registration for all attendees includes food, beverages, skill contests and access to a silent auction and other exciting prizes. It is a great afternoon of networking and fun while raising money for two great organizations, as it supports the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and Neighborhood Legal Services.

The last day to register in advance for the ACBA Bench-Bar Conference is this Sunday, June 8. The conference will be held June 12-14 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, and have a 60s theme. Don’t miss live entertainment from the Motown Band, as well as other special guests.

Attorneys can select from up to 18 CLE courses, with the chance to earn up to eight credits. The members-only, adults-only event also will include fine dining, networking opportunities, entertainment, sporting events, the ACBA passing of the gavel and more. Admission is $675 if you register by Sunday; walk-in registration is also available for $695.

Nearly 15 Pennsylvanians die from an overdose every day; being a Good Samaritan as it relates to opioid addiction can save a life. All members are invited to join the ACBA Health and Wellness Committee and an array of community partners for “Opioid Awareness Workshop: Save a Life, Save the World” on Thursday, June 5 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. The event will include Narcan training and comments from local paramedics, a parent impacted by an overdose, personal testimonials and more. Light Kosher breakfast and overdose prevention kits will be provided.
