All members are invited to join the ACBA Appellate Practice Committee for an informal, non-CLE discussion with Superior Court Judges Jill Beck and Timika Lane and Commonwealth Court Judge Matthew S. Wolf on Wednesday, May 28 at noon on Zoom. Attendees will learn about the jurists' paths to the bench and how their experiences have shaped their roles as judges on intermediate appellate courts. This is the chance to interact with the judges in an informal setting decidedly less intimidating than oral argument.

The ACBA Softball League is gearing up for another season. The regular season begins in late May and runs through August, with playoffs to follow. The league is open to all attorneys, law students, and full-time employees of law firms. Participants can enter a full team or join as an individual. There are no gender restrictions.

The Kennedy T. Friend Scholarship Fund was established by the will of Kennedy T. Friend, a distinguished member of the ACBA who passed in London, England in 1929. Any child of an attorney who is a member of the bar association, and/or who has their principal practice in Allegheny County, is eligible for this scholarship if they chose to attend Yale University or the University of Paris, France.
