The ACBA is presenting a free one-ethics-credit CLE – “[Dis]honesty in the Practice of Law: Working with Truth, Suspicion and Hallucinations” on Thursday, Oct. 23 at noon on Zoom. The latest the ACBA Sorg Forum Series, the seminar will cover the ethics of handling clients who lie, prevaricate, attempt to use you to commit fraud, and the technology that does the same.

All members are invited to join the ACBA Hispanic Attorneys Committee in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Wednesday, Oct. 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the ACBA offices. Enjoy Mexican food from La Palapa, as well as cultural music and beverages, while enjoying networking and camaraderie.

The highlight of this annual event is the presentation of the El Sol Award, which is awarded annually to an individual who has helped the committee advance the Hispanic community at large. This year’s recipient is ACBA member Gilda Arroyo. For details, click below.

ACBA members with law school debt are encouraged to explore the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program. The program is available to help attorneys at IOLTA-funded legal services organizations. The 2025 Loan Repayment Assistance Program application period is open on the WebGrants Portal, and the deadline to apply is Wednesday, Oct. 15.
